Many Syrian writers and artists in the Netherlands are keen to get in touch with their Dutch colleagues. They are curious to learn about Dutch literature and art, the themes, and motives. Conversely, Dutch writers and artists would like to hear their Syrian counterparts tell about Syrian literature and art, and how their themes and motives are affected by the war in Syria. In the end, both Syrian and Dutch artists have a common goal: to create and ensure high-minded works. With Syrian artists settling in the Netherlands, it is inevitable that Syrian art will be produced here. So, it’s time to get to know each other! Organized in cooperation with Paul Alexander and Maria van Tongeren. Sunday 28 January Doors open: 16:00 h Start of program: 16:30 h
